About the Role:

Nova Scotia Legal Aid Commission is seeking a seasoned HR leader to join their team as Director of People & Culture. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the HR function in an organization committed to providing access to justice for underrepresented communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute comprehensive HR strategies that align with the organizational goals
  • Foster a positive workplace culture and enhance employee engagement
  • Implement innovative recruitment strategies and manage onboarding processes
  • Guide the organization in navigating HR policies, best practices, and legal compliance

Requirements:

We are looking for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of current HR practices, preferably within the legal or public service sectors. A passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, along with strong relationship-building skills, is essential as you connect with the team of dedicated professionals.
