Director of Human Resources

We are seeking a seasoned HR leader to join our team as Director of Human Resources at Nova Scotia Community College. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous growth.

About the Role

The Director of Human Resources will provide strategic leadership across all HR functions, ensuring our workforce is agile, resilient, and future-ready. Key responsibilities include:

  • Championing diversity, equity, and inclusion by developing forward-thinking policies and programs to attract, retain, and engage top talent.
  • Guiding the College through transformational HR strategies, ensuring our workforce is equipped to meet the evolving needs of our students and community.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An undergraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in HR, with a strong working knowledge of HR functions, trends, and best practices.
  • Experience leading a human resources agenda within a large, complex organization, with a proven track record of developing and implementing DEI strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
