Job Summary

PCL Constructors Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats and ensure the company's continued success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to the company.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure risk management processes are aligned with business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, analyzing contracts, documents, statistics, reports, and market trends to identify potential risks.
  • Evaluate and quantify risks, determining costs, legal requirements, environmental factors, and historical loss analysis.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on risk and insurance matters to internal stakeholders, including Operations and Corporate Services.
  • Direct and manage outsourced service providers in insurance, finance, and legal areas.
  • Participate in negotiations with owners and third parties to manage project financial risk.
  • Develop innovative techniques to manage, mitigate, and finance risk costs.
  • Train and educate others in the organization on risk awareness and management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in risk management and/or insurance.
  • Strong leadership skills and results-oriented approach.
  • Post-secondary degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, or Law.
  • Strong technical acumen in insurance and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-directed, results-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with emphasis on presentation, negotiation, and influencing others.
  • Ability to understand complex business issues and lead a high-performance team.
