Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac patients with complex needs, working independently and collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
- Enhance the quality of life for patients and their families, addressing their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
- Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Develop and maintain expertise in cardiac care nursing, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.
- Participate in hospital committees and research projects, contributing to the advancement of nursing practice and patient care.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Recent experience in cardiac care nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a patient-centered model of care.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medications, nursing problems, and physiological and behavioral aspects of complex critical illnesses.
- Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and provide leadership and work direction.
