Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Mechanic Helper to join our team at Oyster Freight Services Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting mechanics and tradespersons with various tasks, including moving equipment and materials, holding stakes during surveying activities, and signaling safety procedures to other workers and the general public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist mechanics and tradespersons with equipment maintenance and repair
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials as required
  • Hold stakes during surveying activities to ensure accurate measurements
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • The Mechanic Helper will work in a physically demanding environment, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Handling heavy loads will be a regular part of the job
