About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled TIG welder to join our team at Mac-Weld Machining Ltd. as a Machining Specialist. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks using the TIG process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform TIG welding operations on a variety of metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to specifications.
  • Operate and maintain TIG welding equipment, including torches, power sources, and consumables.
  • Collaborate with other production team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets.
  • Participate in quality control processes to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of welding techniques, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as welding or a related trade.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in TIG welding, preferably in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Strong understanding of welding principles, techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials, as required.
