We are seeking a highly skilled Plumbing Technician to join our team at 1933676 Alberta Ltd. as a key member of our plumbing department.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Installation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
- Project Management: Prepare tenders and quotations, schedule personnel, tools, and equipment, and estimate costs and materials.
- Pipe Fitting and Repair: Cut open walls and floors to accommodate pipe and fittings, join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
- Testing and Quality Control: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges and determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
- Supervision and Team Management: Supervise 1 to 10 people and ensure the smooth operation of the plumbing department.
- Education and Experience: Other trades certificate or diploma and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience or equivalent experience.
- Work Setting: Various locations - industrial and residential.
- Language: English proficiency required.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, and large workload with required overtime and working under pressure.
- Security and Safety: Basic security clearance required.
- Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots required.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English proficiency required.
- Hours: Standard work week of 37.5 hours.
