Job Title: Plumbing Technician

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to join our team at Goldbar Contractors Inc. as an Apprentice Plumber.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills and knowledge in the plumbing trade.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair plumbing fixtures and systems in various locations, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Requirements:
  • Apprenticeship training in plumbing is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
