Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Ontario Inc.

Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports and supervise and check delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish work schedules and supervise a team of 1 to 4 people, including food service counter attendants and food preparers, kitchen and food service helpers.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a hot environment, standing for extended periods, and will be required to work in a fast-paced environment.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

The Food Service Supervisor will work 32 to 40 hours per week.
