About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant to join our team at Accent Dental. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation
    • Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
    • Order dental and office supplies to maintain a well-stocked and efficient clinical environment.
  • Instrumentation and Sterilization
    • Prepare dental instruments and filling materials for procedures, adhering to strict sterilization protocols.
    • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment to prevent cross-contamination and ensure patient safety.
  • Patient Education and Support
    • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
    • Assist patients with intra-oral duties, such as taking X-rays and recording dental procedures.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Record dental procedures performed on patients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
    • Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations as needed.
Requirements
  • Registration with provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Previous experience in a dental setting, with a focus on patient care and clinical support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
