Job Title: Certified Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Dental Assistant to join our team at Accent Dental. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring they are comfortable and relaxed throughout the process.
  • Supply Management: Order dental and office supplies, maintaining a well-stocked inventory to ensure seamless operations.
  • Instrument Preparation: Prepare dental instruments and filling materials, adhering to strict sterilization protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment, guaranteeing they are in excellent working condition.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients concerning oral hygiene, empowering them to take control of their dental health.
  • Dental Procedures: Polish teeth and clinical crowns, apply fluoride and sealant, and perform intra-oral duties as required.
  • X-Ray Services: Take and develop X-rays, capturing high-quality images to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Record Keeping: Record dental procedures performed on patients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Financial Services: Invoice patients for dental services, ensuring timely and efficient payment processing.
  • Temporary Restorations: Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations, providing patients with temporary solutions until permanent restorations can be completed.
  • Impressions: Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts, aiding in the creation of accurate and detailed dental models.
Requirements:
  • Registration: Registration with provincial or territorial authorities is mandatory.
  • Certification: Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board is required.
