Are you enthusiastic about Pipeline Monitoring and Leak Detection? We are seeking a skilled Engineer for TIS LP Leak Detection CPM Maintenance. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and ensuring quality assurance testing of leak detection Computational Pipeline Monitoring (CPM) systems and associated technologies to optimize leak detection performance while adhering to regulatory and internal standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting CPM-based leak detection systems, including testing, tuning, commissioning, and installation of production systems.
  • Monitoring production leak detection systems, conducting root cause analysis, and executing necessary updates in accordance with Management of Change processes.
  • Providing Software Engineering expertise for software developments within Leak Detection and supporting software initiatives.
  • Participating in a rotational 24/7 on-call backup support for Control Centre Leak Detection Analysts.
  • Evaluating leak detection systems and recommending enhancements to LD Management for improved performance, including justifications for capital budget submissions.
  • Delivering onboarding and mentorship to junior members of the Leak Detection team.

Qualifications include:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Leak Detection Engineer supporting liquid pipelines.
  • Proficiency in software development with knowledge of Python, C, or C++.
  • Experience with real-time transient model software and/or statistical modeling software.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Control Centre operations and SCADA systems.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, VISIO, JIRA, and PI.
  • Understanding of North American leak detection regulatory requirements such as API-1130, API-1149, API-1175, CSA Z662 Annex E.

Work is primarily conducted in an office environment during standard business hours, with participation in a 24/7 on-call backup support rotation. Occasional travel within North America may be required for fluid withdrawal tests or training.
