Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Ontario Potato Dist. (Alliston) Inc. 1991.

Job Summary:

The Building Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contacting tradespersons for major repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, painting, and drywall repair
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Advertise vacancy and contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants
  • Supervise other workers
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Dependability, initiative, and judgement
  • Organized and able to work with minimal supervision
