About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Specialist to join our team at Fortunata (Tina) Porcelli. As a Personal Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Administer bedside and personal care, assist with regular exercise, and provide companionship to our clients.
  • Light Housekeeping and Cleaning: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Nutrition and Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals to our clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Certifications and Training: Possess current CPR and First Aid Certificates, and be willing to undergo additional training and certifications as required.
  • Experience and Education: Have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant experience in the field of personal care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cultural Competency: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Indigenous Support: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, and provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.
Work Environment
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of our clients.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication, but we welcome applicants who are fluent in other languages.
