Clean Room Assembler Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Clean Room Assembler to join our team at Sterling Industries, a leading contract manufacturer and assembler of medical devices and sub-components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times
  • Optimize the use of company resources to produce products to specification, on time, and complete
  • Meet budgeted costs for labor, material, equipment, and other production-related expenses
  • Ensure all production-related processes, documentation, and areas are in compliance with our quality management system and ISO13485
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to schedule production people, materials, and equipment for optimal resource utilization
  • Perform preventative maintenance and resolve equipment issues in accordance with the quality management system
  • Drive continuous improvements in people, equipment, processes, products, and the facility through AIT (area improvement teams)
  • Minimize and resolve quality issues in collaboration with the quality department
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the production area and related documentation

Position Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with expertise in production, equipment, quality systems, and facility management
  2. Good dexterity and attention to detail, with the ability to follow work instructions
  3. Effective communication and coordination skills with administrative, operations, quality, and engineering teams
  4. Able to implement and complete continuous improvement efforts
  5. Able to work a flexible schedule and have extensive knowledge of manufacturing and process equipment
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is an asset
  7. Experience in a clean room environment and ISO13485 standard is required
