Cashier Supervisor Job Description

Rikas Grocers Ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cashier Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail store operations, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless customer experiences and efficient store operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Authorize Return of Merchandise: Ensure that customers receive a fair and timely resolution to their return requests.
  • Prepare Sales Reports: Accurately record and analyze sales data to inform inventory management and merchandising decisions.
  • Resolve Customer Issues: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain accurate inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of cashiers, ensuring that they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Cash Handling: Manage cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Opening and Closing Procedures: Perform opening and closing duties, including counting tills and securing the store.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced retail environment with frequent customer interactions.
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
