Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Banff International Hostel. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and train cleaning staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff to ensure efficient use of resources and effective maintenance of facilities.
  • Inspect sites or facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Recommend additional services required to maintain facilities, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist cleaning staff in performing duties and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
