About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Banff International Hostel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Inspect Facilities: Regularly inspect our facilities to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Recommend Services: Identify and recommend additional services required to maintain our facilities, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist Cleaners: Assist cleaning staff in performing their duties as needed.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for cleaning staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
