Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Banff International Hostel. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit and train a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of the cleaning staff, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify areas where additional services may be required, such as painting or repairs, and recommend these to management.
  • Assist Cleaners: Assist the cleaning staff with their duties as needed, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure a seamless and efficient operation.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Reliability: A strong sense of reliability and responsibility is essential for this role.
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
