Bakery Manager Job Description

The Bagel House is seeking a skilled Bakery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bakery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality products and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Preparation: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to maintain a well-stocked bakery.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards and inspect kitchen and food service areas regularly.
  • Scheduling: Schedule staff and manage production schedules to meet customer demand.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
Work Environment:

The Bagel House is a fast-paced bakery with a physically demanding work environment. As a Bakery Manager, you will be required to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
