Purchasing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Agent to join our team at Clipper Ship Supply Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing general and specialized equipment, materials, and business services.
Key Responsibilities:- Purchase equipment, materials, and services in accordance with company specifications and requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize purchasing needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
