Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Clipper Ship Supply Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing general and specialized equipment, materials, and business services. Key responsibilities include developing specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies, negotiating offers from suppliers, and monitoring progress of delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services
  • Develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased
  • Negotiate offers from suppliers
  • Consult with suppliers
  • Review quotations
  • Determine contract terms and conditions
  • Monitor progress of delivery schedules
  • Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems
  • Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization
  • Internal audit
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in procurement or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Basic security clearance and valid driver's license
