Project Coordination Assistant

Under the supervision of the project manager, the Project Coordination Assistant will be tasked with facilitating the preparation of various phases to ensure the efficient operation of the construction sites under their oversight, adhering to the established timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain schedules, reporting any delays (using MS Project);
  • Draft project guidelines and assess bid and construction plans;
  • Compile and update the administrative documentation for each project, from initiation to closure, following the standard format;
  • Prepare and relay survey points and stations;
  • Create preliminary drawings for tower cranes;
  • · Generate purchase orders for subcontractors, monitor delivery timelines, verify invoices, and track monthly payments to subcontractors, as necessary;
  • · Manage email correspondence;
  • · Review reports from CNESST visits, non-conformities, and site meeting notes, ensuring appropriate follow-ups;
  • · Oversee delays in concrete work and on-site activities;
  • · Prepare and monitor QRTs, shop drawings, and technical data sheets;
  • · Perform any other related duties as required.

Required Skills:

  • DEC in architecture or civil engineering, or BAC in construction engineering, civil engineering, building engineering, or equivalent experience;
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction sector;
  • Capacity to work effectively under pressure;
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and initiative;
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Teamwork skills;
  • Effective communication with various stakeholders;
  • Knowledge of concrete formwork (an asset);
  • ASP Construction certification (an asset);
  • Valid driver's license.
