Key Responsibilities
The Optical Team Supervisor plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer experiences. This position is responsible for:
- Ensuring the team provides unparalleled customer service.
- Assisting customers in selecting eyewear and providing expert recommendations.
- Acting as a key holder, responsible for store operations.
Lab Responsibilities (if applicable)
- Custom fitting glasses and accurately placing prescriptions in lenses.
- Collaborating with team members to enhance their knowledge and skills in optical technology.
- Ensuring that all finished eyewear meets both optical standards and customer expectations.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Overseeing the operation and upkeep of lab equipment.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Strong background in optical retail.
- Familiarity with current optical theories and products.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic math proficiency and sales acumen.
- Problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with cash registers and computers.
- Leadership and training experience.
- Knowledge of edging and mounting processes.
- Basic understanding of optics and measurement techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- State licensure or ABO Certification (where applicable).
- Certification as a Final Eyewear Inspector.
- Experience with optical machinery and instruments.
- Certification in AccuFit Digital Measurement System.
- Knowledge of current merchandise and lens options.
