POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and diligent Clinical Nurse Specialist to become a valued member of our supportive team at The Madison Care Center.

Key Responsibilities of a Clinical Nurse Specialist:

  • Managing resident admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Conducting thorough resident assessments and developing care plans
  • Administering medications, treatments, and providing wound care
  • Skilled in electronic documentation (PointClickCare) and MDS Assessments
  • Collaborating with physicians, families, and other stakeholders
  • Assigning tasks to unregulated care providers
  • Assuming Charge Nurse duties: participating in Care Conferences and Medication reviews.

Work Schedule: Casual

Compensation and benefits in accordance with BCNU.

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered and in good standing with BCCNM
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Proficient in electronic documentation and EMar
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Previous experience in Long Term Care is preferred
  • Proof of Vaccination required

About The Madison Care Centre: Located conveniently near Como Lake in Coquitlam, The Madison Care Centre provides licensed and funded residential care for 137 clients, with 96 beds funded through the Fraser Health Authority. The facility primarily offers single and double room accommodations. Opened in 2008, The Madison Care Centre collaborates with the Fraser Health Authority to provide funded beds, while also offering private pay room options.
