Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Immunization Specialist to join our team at Southern Health-Santé Sud. As a key member of our public health team, you will play a critical role in providing immunization services to various populations and promoting public health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide immunization services to diverse populations in clinical, community, or school-based settings.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement public health initiatives.
  • Maintain professional competence and stay up-to-date with current knowledge and evidence-based practices.
  • Exercise independent judgment and initiative in determining work priorities and methods.
  • Function in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
  • Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) and maintenance of professional competence.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training and completion of required immunization training modules.
  • Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice and Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) and regional policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize care for individual patients or groups, respond to simultaneous demands, and adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • Physical capability to perform clinical skills and provide services in various community/clinical settings.
  • Use of a reliable motor vehicle and proficiency in both official languages (English and French).
Conditions of Employment
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license, all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.
