About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpet Installation Specialist to join our team at N&K Renovations Inc. As a key member of our flooring installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the installation of resilient floor coverings, including carpeting, hardwood floors, and underlay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered, measure and mark them accurately, and prepare them for installation.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to ensure a smooth and even installation.
  • Install Flooring: Install resilient floor coverings, including carpeting, hardwood floors, and underlay, to the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
  • Inspect and Repair: Inspect installed floor coverings and repair any damage or defects.
  • Remove Existing Flooring: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to prepare surfaces for new installations.
  • Install Carpeting: Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces as required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires a high level of physical fitness, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Urban area.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
