About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpet Installation Specialist to join our team at N&K Renovations Inc. As a key member of our flooring installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the installation of carpet and other resilient floor coverings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered to ensure they are clean, dry, and free of contaminants. Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate installation.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to ensure a smooth and even installation.
  • Prepare Flooring Plans: Prepare detailed flooring plans and scheduling to ensure efficient installation and minimize downtime.
  • Install Resilient Floor Coverings: Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, including carpet, to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Inspect and Repair Damaged Floor Coverings: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Remove Existing Floor Coverings: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to ensure a clean and even surface.
  • Install Carpeting on Walls or Other Surfaces: Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces to create a seamless and professional finish.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to bend, crouch, and kneel frequently, and have good hand-eye coordination.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in flooring installation
  • Work Setting: Urban area
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
