Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assigned shifts, delivering proactive and reactive security patrols and responding to incidents.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service abilities and engage effectively with individuals experiencing stress or requiring medical assistance.
  • Maintain physical fitness to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Execute a range of preventative and responsive tasks, including interior and exterior patrols of facilities.
  • Utilize appropriate force and restraint as necessary, in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Facilitate security escort services for staff and visitors upon request.
  • Provide vehicle assistance to staff and visitors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all shift activities and service calls.
  • Prepare detailed reports following investigations or significant occurrences promptly.
  • Investigate incidents, manage follow-ups, and review CCTV footage as required.
  • Address rule violations and, if necessary, apprehend or remove offenders from premises.
  • Handle various administrative tasks, including ID badge issuance, key management, and lost and found services.
Qualifications:
  1. Possession of a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  2. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  3. Relevant educational background in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services is advantageous.
  4. Proof of double Covid Vaccination.
  5. Immunization documentation (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests).
  6. Current First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
  7. Access to a personal vehicle.
  8. Ability to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).
    • Applicants without these certifications may enroll in Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding to meet position requirements.
    • Please note: The UoF/MOAB training is unpaid as it is a prerequisite, but Paladin will cover all associated costs with a commitment to the position.
