Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Press Feeder within our Litho Department. This position requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and adjust the printing press to ensure optimal performance.
  • Set up the feed system effectively for production runs.
  • Assist the second Pressman with changing plates and blankets as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory of press supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Support make-ready processes and assist in cleaning equipment components.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery to uphold operational standards.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in English, with strong communication skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience operating an Off-Set Printing Press.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production setting is essential.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with equipment preventative care practices.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Willingness to work a weekly rotational shift schedule.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to safety policies and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to respect and collaborate with individuals at all levels within the organization.
