Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Press Feeder within our Litho Department. This position requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to operate and maintain printing equipment effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and adjust the printing press to ensure optimal performance.
  • Set up the feed system for the press.
  • Assist the second Pressman with changing plates and blankets as needed.
  • Ensure the availability of all necessary press supplies.
  • Support make-ready processes and assist in the cleaning of plates, blankets, rollers, and ink fountains.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in English – capable of speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Off-Set Printing Press operations.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of equipment preventative care and troubleshooting.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Willingness to work a weekly rotational shift schedule.
  • Familiarity with safety policies and regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Respect for individuals, the organization, and the community.
