Transportation Planning and Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Planning and Engineering professional to join our team at R.V. Anderson Associates Limited. As a key member of our Transportation Planning group, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of transportation engineering and planning projects, including infrastructure development, traffic operations, and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead projects, providing technical analysis, client liaison, project management, and proposal preparation for public and private sector clients.
  • Prepare and contribute to transportation studies, including multi-modal studies, transportation master plans, environmental assessments, and traffic impact studies.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying and capturing opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients.
  • Assist with proposal and report preparation, and coordinate public and agency consultation activities.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario, or eligibility to obtain within six months.
  • At least 15 years of experience in transportation planning and engineering, preferably in the consulting industry.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation planning and engineering principles, including geometric design and traffic engineering.
  • Experience with traffic demand forecasting and impact analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with Municipal Class EA process.
