Role Overview: Health & Safety Field Consultant
The Health & Safety Field Consultant is responsible for providing expert advice, support, and documentation to clients in the Ottawa region. The position requires regular working hours from Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on client demands. Successful candidates may find opportunities for career advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- In-depth understanding of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Proactively engaging with clients regarding advice and recommendations
- Conducting client site visits
- Delivering accurate and relevant advice, support, and solutions to clients
- Interacting with government representatives and third parties on behalf of clients
- Preparing internal reports following client consultations
- Reviewing and interpreting client policies and documentation
- Guiding clients on utilizing Peninsula's health and safety management system
- Meeting internal performance metrics
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree, diploma, or certificate from an accredited health and safety training program
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in health and safety
