As a Health and Safety Field Consultant with Peninsula Canada, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and support to our clients in the Ottawa and surrounding areas. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct field visits, assess workplace hazards, and provide recommendations to ensure a safe working environment. You will also be expected to work closely with our health and safety advice team to provide guidance and support on various health and safety matters.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide recommendations to clients on how to mitigate hazards
- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures
- Provide training and guidance to clients on health and safety best practices
- Liaise with government officials and other third parties on behalf of clients
- Maintain accurate records and reports of client visits and activities
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- CRST/CRSP certification is mandatory
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in health and safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
