Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collections and Customer Service Equipment Leasing Specialist to join our team at Flexstaf IT. Key Responsibilities
  • Promptly Notify Customers of Past Due Payments

Notify customers of past due payments through regular communication, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing delinquency.

Negotiate Debt Repayment

Advise customers on necessary actions and negotiate debt repayment, following company process guidelines to ensure effective communication and resolution.

Manage Customer Relationships

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met.

Ensure Compliance

Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial procedures related to the role, as well as established company policies and procedures.

Solve Problems and Manage Conflicts

Solve problems and tactfully manage confrontational or stressful interactions, efficiently deescalating complaints while treating customers with integrity.

Understand Financial Contracts

Possess knowledge of financial contract terms required to effectively communicate with customers and enforce contracts.

Work with Equifax Reports

Understand Equifax reports and general business information presented to you, utilizing this knowledge to inform customer interactions and debt repayment negotiations.

Manage NSF Reports and A/R Reports

Diligently work through assigned NSF reports and A/R reports, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing delinquency.

Document Customer Interactions

Make detailed notes on each customer file and efficiently utilize follow-up systems to ensure effective time management and continuity in the event of absence.

Monitor and Escalate Queries

Regularly meet with the supervisor to review accounts and progress, ensuring AR delinquency is within tolerance levels. Escalate any queries beyond the scope of individual empowerment to management.

Work Independently and Collaboratively

Work independently within a team to ensure service levels are met and assist team members when needed.

Requirements
  • Strong English Skills

Strong English skills, both written and oral, are essential for effective communication with customers and colleagues.

Postsecondary Education and Collections Experience

Postsecondary education and a minimum of five years of collections experience in a commercial/consumer industry are required.

Computer Skills and Equifax Knowledge

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel applications, email, and basic internet usage, as well as the ability to interpret Equifax credit reports.

Organizational and Time-Management Skills

Excellent organizational and time-management skills with meticulous attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.

Persuasion, Negotiation, and Conflict Resolution Skills

Strong persuasion, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills are essential for effective customer interactions and debt repayment negotiations.

Interpersonal and Internal Customer Service Skills

Strong interpersonal and internal customer service skills are necessary for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and colleagues.

Ability to Calculate Figures and Amounts

The ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as interest and percentages, is required for effective debt repayment negotiations.

Ability to Work Well Under Pressure
