Key Responsibilities
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Demonstrate expertise in mountain driving.
  • Exhibit professionalism in customer service interactions.
  • Plan travel routes, manage itineraries, and make necessary reservations.
  • Collaborate with a partner in a two-person team or convoy.
  • Handle loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Operate and drive both straight and articulated trucks for transporting goods.
  • Inspect vehicle conditions, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Conduct brake adjustments and perform emergency roadside repairs as needed.
  • Carry out pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections while overseeing all vehicle aspects.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch regarding cargo and travel updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo information, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping techniques.
Required Certifications
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Documentation Skills
  • Familiarity with accident or incident reports.
  • Knowledge of bill of lading and driver logbook management.
  • Ability to complete inspection reports and maintenance records.
  • Experience with trans-border documentation and trip reports.
Equipment and Communication
  • Experience with tractor-trailer operations.
  • Proficient in using GPS and other navigation tools.
Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel internationally and cross-border.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods and overnight.
Work Environment
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
