Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Join MK Transport Ltd as a Long Haul Truck Driver and embark on a rewarding career on the open road. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the country, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain a tractor-trailer unit, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Load and unload goods, using proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate records and reporting any issues.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch, relaying information and receiving updates on cargo and route changes.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, ensuring accurate documentation.
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel cross-border, nationally, and internationally
  • Ability to work overtime, including evenings and weekends
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks
