Job Overview

Vertex is seeking a skilled Class 1 Fluids Operator to join our team in Grande Prairie, AB. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of bulk liquids.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 1 vehicles, including tank trucks and tri-axle units, to transport bulk liquids
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to weight limits and company procedures
  • Comply with company policies, health and safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Complete daily scheduled deliveries and services in a timely manner
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of professionalism
  • Perform pre and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate records, and report any issues to supervisors

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driver abstract
  • 2 years' experience driving tank trucks (fluid hauling) desired
  • Capable of operating tri-axle units and Super B trucks
  • Hold relevant safety tickets, including First Aid/CPR, CSTS, TDG, and H2S Alive
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize tasks
  • Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, bending, and climbing
