Job Title: Director of Research and Development

ChampionX is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Research and Development to lead our Canadian operations. As a key member of our global Chemical Technologies RD&E management team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and technology advancements to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement technology roadmaps for the Canadian production chemicals business
  • Build and deploy strategies to ensure resources with required technical and leadership skills are deployed effectively
  • Support the portfolio management process to ensure innovation pipeline meets business growth targets
  • Manage resource allocations to support current business and new product projects
  • Drive the execution phases of new product development initiatives
  • Lead customer technical support operations and ensure resources are prioritized on highest value opportunities
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in chemistry, engineering, biology, or related scientific/technical discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in technology strategy development and implementation, leading and developing teams, and driving innovation
  • Proven track record of successful technology development, new product/service launch, and leveraging of external technology
  • Significant experience operating in global technical and business environments
  • Agile change agent skills
