About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance crews in Labrador City, NL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating shift activities, ensuring daily production targets are met or exceeded, and collaborating with Operations to achieve these goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance crews to execute planned and scheduled work, as well as breakdown repairs, to improve equipment availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure daily production targets are met or exceeded.
  • Actively participate in IOC's safety program and model appropriate safety behaviors.
  • Provide leadership in team building, planning, and establishing clear measures to keep everyone focused on safety, results, and the customer.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and monitor the execution of scheduled work plans and unplanned emergency and breakdown work.
  • Work closely with the maintenance planner to ensure planned jobs are within scope and provide feedback on work completed, work to be rescheduled, parts and materials.
  • Provide good customer service and maintain a continuous improvement focus by working with customers and team members to resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve maintenance productivity and quality.
  • Develop and promote a positive employee relations environment within the department.
Requirements
  • Three or more years of electrical experience in an industrial environment.
  • Two or more years of experience in a supervisory role, ideally in a unionized setting.
  • An Electrical trade or Electrical Technologist/Engineering qualification.
  • Excellent leadership approach to safety, team building, and employee performance.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • A genuine care for others.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Minimum of a Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Experience using SAP for work management is an asset.
