About the Role

Cascades is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team as the Multi-plant Health & Safety Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to make a real impact on the health and safety of our employees and the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site visits to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Collaborate with local and senior leadership to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
  • Develop and implement health and safety training programs for employees
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in health and safety regulations and standards

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of OHS laws and standards
  • Leadership and expertise in promoting buy-in to proposed solutions
  • Ability to translate challenges into concrete solutions
  • Keen sense of collaboration to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Ability to support and advise business partners in analyzing their needs and finding solutions
  • Ability to deal with change and to propose favourable adaptation conditions
  • Ability to support and advise business partners on occupational health and safety issues
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Agility needed to work with various technological tools
  • Knowledge of SAP software or other ERP (an asset)
