Position Overview: The Director of Marketing and Public Relations will spearhead the formulation and execution of holistic marketing and PR initiatives aimed at enhancing revenue and performance. This role demands a vibrant leader with a fervor for hospitality, a profound comprehension of the travel and tourism sector, and the capability to lead and motivate a diverse team. The Director will collaborate closely with upper management to synchronize marketing strategies with corporate goals and stimulate growth across both resorts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Development:
    • Craft and deploy cohesive marketing and PR strategies for both resorts.
    • Identify target demographics and design customized campaigns to engage various guest segments.
    • Evaluate market dynamics, competitor behavior, and customer insights to guide strategic choices.
  2. Marketing Initiatives:
    • Conceive and implement multi-platform marketing initiatives, encompassing digital, print, social media, and email outreach.
    • Leverage SEO, SEM, and PPC techniques to enhance online visibility and drive traffic to the resorts' digital platforms.
    • Assess and report on the success of marketing initiatives, refining strategies as necessary.
  3. Leadership:
    • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Brand Strategy to ensure brand consistency and messaging.
  4. Public Relations Management:
    • Establish and nurture relationships with media representatives, journalists, influencers, and industry collaborators.
    • Oversee the development and dissemination of press materials, including press releases and media kits.
    • Coordinate media events, press trips, and other PR activities to foster positive media coverage.
  5. Team Development:
    • Guide and mentor a team of marketing specialists, promoting a cooperative and innovative work culture.
    • Set explicit objectives and performance indicators for the team, conducting regular assessments and providing constructive feedback.
    • Facilitate ongoing professional growth for team members through training and development opportunities.
    • Build and maintain strong partnerships with agency collaborators.
  6. Event Marketing:
    • Oversee marketing strategies for events and conferences hosted at both resorts.
    • Create promotional content and strategies to maximize participation and engagement.
    • Work with event planners to ensure smooth execution and positive guest experiences.
  7. Financial Oversight:
    • Formulate and manage the marketing and PR budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
    • Monitor spending and ROI, making informed decisions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8-10 years of experience in marketing and public relations, particularly in the hospitality sector.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing impactful marketing and PR campaigns.
  • A strong passion for travel, hospitality, and outdoor activities.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
