Electrical Hardware Development Manager

CMC Electronics is seeking an experienced Electrical Hardware Development Manager to lead our team of engineers in the design and development of innovative electronic hardware solutions for the civil and military aviation markets.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading multidiscipline hardware design teams in the planning and execution of development projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the design and development of electronic hardware solutions.
  • Support direct reports in meeting project deadlines, budgets, and quality requirements.
  • Develop and implement efficient design processes and practices to reduce waste and improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with peer engineering and product managers in product lifecycle management, including roadmaps, obsolescence, and strategic planning.
  • Coordinate and review design estimates for electronics hardware development.
  • Review project technical progress and performance through program reviews, providing metrics and follow-up on corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical hardware development for commercial and/or military aviation applications.
  • Leadership qualities, organizational skills, analytical skills, urgency, flexibility, ownership, and a strong work ethic.
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts, risk management, estimating concepts, and industry practices.
  • Combination of strong supervisory, technical, leadership, and managerial skills to engineering design teams.
