Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description

Join CB Canada as an Accounts Payable Clerk and play a critical role in a team environment. This long-term contract/temporary position is offered through Robert Half.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Matching, batching, and coding invoices, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, and resolving A/P issues.
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal skills are required, as well as building relationships with vendors and other departments.
  • Carry out additional projects as required, handle customer service needs of internal business partners, and perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits as needed, handle daily department mail, and provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department.
  • Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them.
  • Verify, log, and send checks, including facilitating special handling, and implement full-cycle A/P.
Requirements:
  • Observant, accurate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Spreadsheet and database capabilities.
  • Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds.
  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred, accruals experience required, and Accounts Payable (AP) experience.
  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business, or similar preferred.
