Kitchen Supervisor Job Description

At Jimmy's Place Restaurant, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient methods to meet our kitchen's work schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet demand.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and service meet our high quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for our kitchen operations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on kitchen performance, highlighting areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.
  • Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for our kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
