Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at 8344795 CANADA INC. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of trucks and trailers to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Management
    • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
    • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
    • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Logistics Coordination
    • Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
    • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns
    • Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism in all interactions
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Perform brake adjustments
    • Perform emergency roadside repairs
    • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Documentation and Compliance
    • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
    • Complete and maintain accurate records of cargo, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance
Requirements
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
