Objective of the Role:

The Lead Technology Risk Analyst will collaborate with the Associate Director of Technology Risk to deliver impartial guidance, oversight, and constructive challenge regarding operational risk issues within business units, with a particular emphasis on technology, cybersecurity, and data-related vulnerabilities.

This position requires engagement with essential stakeholders to execute risk frameworks and methodologies, ensuring the effective identification, assessment, management, monitoring, and reporting of both existing and emerging risks.


Key Responsibilities:

Technology Risk Documentation:
Assist in the establishment and ongoing enhancement of technology risk policies and procedures. Support the first line of defense in effectively adopting these frameworks and methodologies.
Risk Assessment and Monitoring:
Conduct independent evaluations and oversight of the adequacy and effectiveness of daily risk management controls. Utilize Risk and Controls Self-Assessment and New Initiative Risk Assessment processes to evaluate and monitor risks and controls associated with new products/services and critical business operations. Participate in audits conducted by internal or external auditors or regulatory authorities as relevant to Enterprise Technology.
Risk Reporting and Analysis:
Collect, review, and analyze operational practices, controls, deficiencies, and metrics. Assist in the creation of comprehensive risk reports to be presented to senior management across all lines of defense. Conduct in-depth analysis of significant technology risk issues and support resolution efforts by business units.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
Engage with stakeholders to enhance awareness of the organization's risk management policies and procedural requirements. Maintain robust communication channels with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and comprehension of risk management practices.

Subject Matter Expertise:
Stay informed and provide expertise on the technology, cybersecurity, and data risk landscape, including industry best practices and emerging technology trends.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in technology domains such as information security, cloud computing, infrastructure, architecture, and/or engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in the financial services sector (or other regulated industries).
- 3+ years of experience in risk, compliance, or governance specific to Information Technology.
- Strong understanding of technology risk regulatory and industry best practices (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO standards) is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of risk and compliance methodologies and programs.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including financial and business analysis.
- Experience with ServiceNow GRC or other GRC platforms (e.g., Resolver) is beneficial.
