Job Title: Activity Leader - Float, Before & After School Program

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Activity Leader to join our Before and After School Program team. As an Activity Leader, you will be responsible for creating a fun and engaging environment for children aged 5-12, facilitating adapted programming that allows all children to participate meaningfully.

Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively within a staff team to provide an inclusive environment of support, strategies, and resources for children with diverse needs.
  • Provide individual support to children within the program setting when required.
  • Help to build and contribute to a community environment of global supports and inclusion for all children through supporting their strengths and stretches.
  • Help children navigate conflict and role model positive behaviours.
  • Contribute to the development, integration, and maintenance of care plans within the program.
  • Provide enhanced ratio to support all children in the program, which may entail providing individual support from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Experience working with children 5 – 12.
  • Emergency First Aid and CRC – C & AED.
  • 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance and/or Nutrition an asset.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of $21.00.
  • A temporary, part-time position with 17.5-25 hours per week.
