The Food Service Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen at Acropolis Pizza. This position requires a blend of leadership, culinary skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
Educational Requirements- Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Equivalent experience may be considered
- Prepare and process vegetables and fruits for meal preparation
- Maintain kitchen tools by sharpening knives as needed
- Manage waste by removing kitchen garbage and trash
- Safely handle and store cleaning supplies
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including all work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
- Receive, unpack, and organize supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and other storage areas
- Organize and store dishes appropriately
- Maintain floor cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing
Oversee a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Work Environment- Fast-paced and dynamic kitchen setting
- Ability to work under pressure
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Strong client focus
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience
