Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Alberta Ltd O/A Shining Stars Daycare & OSC. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient work schedules to meet the needs of our kitchen and dining areas.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff, ensuring that they are working effectively and efficiently.
  • Train Staff: Provide training and guidance to our food service staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation and ensure that they are ordered and received in a timely manner.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the food and service meet our quality control standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports as required.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
Work Environment:

Our kitchen and dining areas are fast-paced environments that require a high level of energy and attention to detail. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be required to stand, walk, and bend frequently, and may be required to lift heavy objects.
